You choose the location, we take the photos!
You can make your session more personal by incorporating things that your family enjoys doing together. This might include an activity that is meaningful to you, bringing along your child’s favorite toy, the family dog, or letting your kids dress up in their favourite costume. Of course we want to get some amazing portraits but we also aim to capture your relationship as a family right now. Often the most genuine expressions come from kids just being kids, and interacting with the people they love the most in the world.

How far in advance should we schedule?
We usually schedule family sessions up to six weeks in advance.
What time of day is best for a location family session?
This partially depends on you! Shooting when the sun is lower in the sky is the most ideal for photos so either late afternoon or early morning is best. Which of these two times you choose will depend on your families’ preference and schedule. Your little ones might be happiest in the morning, or you may choose late in the day for glowy sunset light.
What should we wear?
You want to coordinate colors without being too matchy-matchy. Wear clothes that you love and feel confident in. If you can’t decide you can always layer up and have a few variations. Keep weather in mind – if it may be chilly wear something warm. You don’t want to look freezing in your photos 🙂
Where should we shoot?
If there is a location that’s special to you, let’s shoot there! If you just have a general location preference (farm/country, flowers, baltimore harbor area, historic sites etc.) we can make suggestions.
Can we shoot outside of the Baltimore area?
Absolutely but travel fees may apply.
How long until we get our finished photos?
Usually our turnaround is about two weeks. This may be subject to change during busy season.
